“End of Life Options: Ensuring Your Wishes are Honored.”
During this panel session, you will learn about the increasing “medicalization” of end-of- life, and how you can take action to promote a peaceful death for you and your loved ones. This conversation will feature, Dr. Jeremy Topin, a pulmonologist in critical care, who writes extensively about end of life issues, and Eric Parker, a Chicago-area elder law attorney who is a member of the Illinois End of Life Options Coalition, a state-wide coalition working to improve care and expand options at end of life. The session will be moderated by Amy Sherman, regional campaign manager for Compassion & Choices, who co-leads the statewide coalition.  
 
The Illinois End-Of Life Options Coalition ,comprised of Compassion & Choices, Final Options Illinois, and the ACLU-IL – seeks to raise awareness of end-of-life options, individual choice, death with dignity, and an end to needless suffering at the end of life.
